SCOTT, La. (KADN) — With hurricane season just days away, first responders are getting ready.
At the Lafayette Parish Emergency Operations Center in Scott, officials tested their hurricane response on Wednesday, May 22.
The first responders participated in a simulated hurricane disaster scenario.
Hurricane season begins June 1 and it's expected to be one of the most active on record.
